Some time ago we had a batch of FRP gratings for car washes. Because the customers wanted more urgently, the surface treatment was not available. Finally, after receiving the boards, the customers gave a lot of opinions on the surface treatment of FRP gratings for car washes. FRP gratings are mainly used in car wash rooms, which have high requirements for aesthetics. Therefore, FRP gratings in car wash rooms must be surface treated before shipment. The raw materials used in the production process of the car wash room glass fiber reinforced plastic grille include resin, glass fiber yarn, curing agent, color paste, etc.

Resin: Unsaturated polyester resin is a thermosetting resin, which can be cured into an insoluble and insoluble polymer network polymer under the action of heat or initiator. But this kind of polymer has very low mechanical strength and cannot meet the requirements of most applications. When reinforced with glass fiber, it can become a composite material, commonly known as "glass reinforced plastic".

Glass fiber is an inorganic non-metallic material with excellent performance. It has a wide variety of advantages. The advantages are good insulation, strong heat resistance, good corrosion resistance, and high mechanical strength, but the disadvantages are brittleness and poor wear resistance. It is made of glass balls or waste glass as raw materials through high-temperature melting, drawing, winding, weaving and other processes. The diameter of its monofilament is a few microns to more than 20 microns, which is equivalent to a hair strand. Each fiber strand is composed of hundreds or even thousands of monofilaments. Glass fiber is usually used as a reinforcing material in composite materials, electrical insulation materials and thermal insulation materials, circuit boards and other fields of the national economy.

Curing agent, also known as hardener, curing agent or setter, is a type of substance or mixture that promotes or controls the curing reaction. Resin curing is the process of irreversible change of thermosetting resin through chemical reactions such as condensation, ring closure, addition or catalysis. The curing is completed by adding a curing (crosslinking) agent.

Color paste is a semi-product made of pigments or pigments and fillers dispersed in paint. The oily color paste that uses pure oil as the adhesive is called oily colorant. The resin color paste that uses the resin paint as the adhesive is called the resin color paste.
