The basic components of FRP FRP profiles are resin and glass fiber. It has a series of excellent characteristics such as high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, high strength, small specific gravity, low moisture absorption, small elongation and good insulation.
At present, the main five common application fields of FRP profiles are:
1. Pipe hanger
Traditional metal pipe hangers have always been a concern due to their weak acid resistance, which will virtually increase the maintenance cost of sub-production units. In heavily corroded parts, frequent and continuous maintenance. The use of FRP pipe hanger series has successfully solved this problem. High-strength, anti-corrosion hanger series, equipped with complete parts, is the dream product of designers. The FRP hanger series includes single-pipe guide hangers and double-pipe guide hangers, and is equipped with complete spare parts, including FRP profiles, FRP bolt hangers, nuts and various types of fixing fixtures.
2. Cable tray
The cable trays used for instruments and electrical appliances in petrochemical production facilities are traditionally metal bridges. Due to the corrosive gas in petrochemical production, the service life of the bridges is seriously affected. Nowadays, there are fiberglass bridges, which have the advantages of non-conductivity, corrosion resistance, light weight, easy installation and maintenance-free.
3. Operating platform and railing ladder
Operating platforms and railing ladders occupy a certain proportion in petrochemical installations, and the selection of corrosion-resistant, high-strength, and light-weight profiles is a development trend. The service life of FRP profiles is 20 times longer than that of carbon steel profiles, while also increasing aesthetics and safety.
4. Platform grille
Open-air steel structures are widely used in petrochemical plants. The floor planks are usually patterned steel plates or steel castor plates. These two types of planks are not corrosion-resistant and heavy, and operators are prone to slipping or falling. At present, FRP grating can be used, and there are mainly two types: one is the grid with uniform vertical and horizontal force; the other is the grating with longitudinal force and horizontal force only for connection. Since the surface layer of the grating is non-slip and wear-resistant due to the gravel, its weight is only 1/4 of that of the steel grate plate, so it is very convenient to carry and install due to its light weight. For the fixing of the grid, there should be fixing clips for the supporting width of the grid, and each grid has at least 4 fixing clips.
5. Roof trusses, roof panels, wall panels and doors and windows
The closed petrochemical production plant is composed of building components such as wall panels, roof trusses, roof panels, doors and windows that need maintenance. There are roughly two types of wall panels for FRP roof panels: one is wavy, and the other is flat-filled foam. The advantages of this material are high strength, weather resistance and energy saving. FRP can also be made into roof trusses with various spans, as well as a series of FRP doors and windows in various forms and specifications.
The maintenance structure and roof body of petrochemical production equipment are all made of this material. Due to the light weight of the components, the treatment of the foundation and foundation can be simplified, and it is also conducive to earthquake resistance.
