The laying of FRP grids can be done by special equipment modified by tractors or cars, and they are usually laid manually. The two ends of the paper tube of each roll of FRP grating are marked with orange and blue marks. Before laying, the glue surface should be selected downward, and the color of the markings should be at one end to facilitate the construction and prevent the glue surface from being laid wrong. . When laying the FRP grating, it should be kept flat and tight, and the two sides should be aligned. You can use a level ruler to make the FRP grating have effective tension. After the paving, use a clean steel wheel roller to roll it again. The glass steel grille is clean, bright and more colorful.
At present, the commonly used FRP gratings are with self-adhesive and without self-adhesive. The ones with self-adhesive glue can be laid directly on the leveled base layer. The ones without self-adhesive usually adopt stainless steel snap ring and steel nail fixing method. Ordinary road sections use glass fiber grids without self-adhesive glue, and the materials required for fixing are:
①The fixed stainless steel snap ring of 50×50×0.3mm is required to be flat and not warped, and the periphery should be chamfered;
②2 inch steel nails.
When using fixed steel nails or stainless steel clasps to lay the FRP grating, first fix one end of the fixed clasp and steel nails on the lower structure where the sticky layer of asphalt has been spread. The steel nails can be hammered or shot nails. The grille is then stretched longitudinally and fixed in sections, each section having a length of 2-5m. It can also be divided into sections according to the distance between the shrinkage joints, and the position of the steel nails is set in the gap of the joint. When the grille is tightened, the glass fiber is in a straight and tensioned state in both vertical and horizontal directions.
The lap joint of FRP grating is longitudinal lap, the lap width is not less than 20mm, and the horizontal lap width is not less than 15mm. The longitudinal lap should be placed on top of the latter according to the asphalt paving direction. Do not nail the steel nails to the glass fiber reinforced plastic grating during fixing, and do not directly hit the glass fiber reinforced plastic grating with a hammer. If the steel nails are broken or the snap ring is loose after fixing, they need to be re-fixed. After the fiberglass grating is laid and fixed, it must be properly rolled and stabilized with a rubber roller roller to make the fiberglass grating adhere firmly to the original road surface.

In actual construction, some construction units directly spread the fiberglass grating after spraying the sticky layer of oil, and the roller is tightly followed by rolling, which has a better effect, and the fiberglass grating is not easy to wrinkle. In the actual operation process, the construction quality has a great influence on the use effect of FRP grating in the future.
