Surface treatment of FRP grating

Treatment of FRP grating surface: When the FRP grating product is just released, the surface is not smooth, not level, not clean and not shiny, and it needs to be processed to achieve the predetermined effect. The following describes in detail how to deal with the surface of the FRP grating.


Polishing: First, polish the surface of the mold, and then use an electric polishing machine to polish the rough coating on the surface of the mold. When the circular spiral operation of the polishing machine starts, do not empty the mold of an iron casting in the past, the main workload is rough polishing. So far, it has generally been rough polishing, which requires at least two dies to complete successfully. Then, rough polishing the rough bristles of the new board, adding fine polishing and fine polishing agents, and repeating the above operations. The thickness of the polish is different wool boards, and every polisher has one.


Cleaning the mold: During the mold cleaning process, the sealant and mold release agent of the mold surface polishing agent residual oil can be firmly attached to the mold, and then scrub twice with the clean water mold. Mold cleaning water Wipe the surface of the mold with gauze, and then dry it. Let the applicable mold wash water layer evaporate completely (about half an hour), then light it with a clean dry cloth.


Closing the mold: It is usually completed after the third polishing and grinding according to the requirements of the FRP grille. But if only the surface of the mold is polished, there will be many invisible holes. Under the requirement of precision of glass fiber reinforced plastic, we seal these tiny holes, so that the precision of glass fiber can be greatly improved, and the reinforced plastic can be upgraded. Specifically, apply the sealant evenly on the surface of the mold with gauze, then dry it (about 30-60 minutes), and then wipe it with a clean dry cloth until it is smooth. New molds can be sealed four times. Both can be sealed if the old mold is refurbished.


Mold release: During operation, different production should be carried out according to different thicknesses of FRP gratings, and different mold release agents should be selected. For cast glass fiber reinforced plastic sanitary ware with a thickness of about 5 mm, the glass solidifies and heats up, instead of using high temperature release wax or base thickness. Apply an appropriate amount of release wax cling film with gauze, then squeeze the gauze and evenly apply it on the surface of the mold, which is even and saves a lot of scattered release wax, let it dry (30-60 minutes), and then use it clean of gauze or sanded to a bright luster. The new release agent is 4-5 times of that before use. After the product is released, the last piece of release wax can be released.

In order to improve the completion speed of FRP products, improve work efficiency and mold release, once the mold release agent is applied, the finish of these products is very good, and it can also avoid wax contamination caused by repeated use of mold release agent to clean wax. Mold release wax or mold release wax for cleaning molds after long-term storage is easy to oxidize, causing unnecessary damage to the FRP grille.
