How to produce high-quality FRP plates

The main raw materials of glass fiber reinforced plastic plates are glass fiber, gel coat and film. Now most manufacturers use automatic production lines for production, instead of manual production as before. Therefore, the production efficiency is greatly improved, and the quality of the products produced is stable and guaranteed. But does it mean that it is flawless to use a fully automated production line? The answer is of course no.


Many factors in the production process will affect the produced glass fiber reinforced plastic machine-made plates. The exposed fiber is one of the problems. What is fiber exposure? The fiber here does not refer to the cellulose eaten in life or the fiber of clothes, but glass fiber. Glass fiber is an inorganic non-metallic material with excellent performance. It is made of glass balls or waste glass micro-materials through high-temperature melting, drawing, winding, weaving and other processes. Adding glass fiber to the resin can increase the corrosion resistance and mechanical strength of the glass fiber reinforced plastic machine-made board. If the glass fiber is exposed in the produced glass steel plate, what is the reason?

1. If the gel coat is thin and the gel coat is not cured completely, the reinforcement layer is applied.

2. The fiber rolling is too heavy.

In order to avoid the phenomenon of fiber exposure of the fiberglass machine-made board, in the production, we must pay attention to the completion of the soaking in the resin when laying the glass fiber, and the curing of the gel coat should be good, and the thickness should be sufficient.
