FRP molded load-bearing grating has excellent acid and alkali corrosion resistance, light weight, high strength, and easy installation. It has been widely used in car beauty shops, painting, electroplating, pickling, petrochemical, power engineering, textile printing and dyeing, Marine exploration, sewage treatment and other fields, as equipment walkways, trench covers, working platforms, drilling platforms, stair steps, fences, ship decks, etc.
The quality of FRP gratings is mainly related to the main material content and raw materials. Poor quality gratings are manifested in rough surface, bubbles, dullness, many cracks, poor load capacity, and rapid aging.
After analysis, the reasons are as follows:
1. Reduce the composition of the main material (resin and glass fiber) and increase the content of the filler (the price of the resin is more than ten times the price of the filler); less resin content will increase the number of cracks in the grid, and the grid is easy to pulverize during use. It leads to the exposure of fibers and greatly reduces the service life. Less glass fiber content directly affects the load capacity of the grid.
2. The production process cuts corners and reduces the number of layers of glass fiber filaments. The distribution of glass fibers is directly related to the load capacity of the grid. Some manufacturers do not have the process of compacting and defoaming during production, which causes the inside and surface of the grid to be full of bubbles. In addition, in order to increase production, some manufacturers increase the proportion of curing agent, so that the grid forming time is too short, resulting in many grid bubbles, cracks, and brittleness.
3. In order to save costs, inferior raw materials are used, which makes the grille poor in strength and toughness and easy to break.
