Product Description

Fiberglass honeycomb sandwich panels are a kind of lightweight sandwich panel, which can be used in a wide range of fields. It is made by sandwiching the aluminum honeycomb core between two layers of glass fiber prepreg, the glass fiber prepreg skin is cured by heat and pressure, and then completely bonded to the aluminum honeycomb core.

Fiberglass/honeycomb sandwich panels are ideal panels for various applications that require flat, lightweight and rigid panels. They are made by "sandwiching" aramid honeycomb cores between layers of self-adhesive glass fiber prepreg. By separating the fiberglass skin from the aramid honeycomb core, these sandwich panels provide higher strength characteristics than the skin alone.

Using glass fiber prepreg as the outer layer can form a structural surface layer with high strength, medium tensile strength and compressive strength, dimensional stability, design flexibility and excellent electrical resistivity. Our sandwich panels are cured under high temperature and pressure to form a fully cured glass fiber surface layer, which is fully bonded to the aramid honeycomb core. When using prepreg, the cells of the honeycomb core will not be filled with resin, thus ensuring that the built panel will not retain too much resin weight.

Our fiberglass honeycomb sandwich panels are made of lightweight, high-strength aramid honeycombs, which have higher compressive strength and lower core density than our balsa and foam core sandwich panels. The aramid honeycomb core is manufactured with high bondability to ensure that the structural integrity of the panel remains intact. In order to increase the rigidity of the construction panel, a thicker core material can be used without significantly increasing the weight and cost of the final product.
