The surface temperature change of the external insulation layer is larger than that of the outer surface of the external wall without insulation layer. In summer, the heat irradiated by the sun per square meter has a greater influence on the surface temperature of the external insulation than that of the temperature change of the external wall without insulation. The heat is blocked on the surface by the outer insulation layer, so the temperature rise rate of the outer surface and the sudden cooling rate when it rains are much faster than the temperature rise and fall of the outer wall surface without insulation.

The practice of external insulation makes the deformation stress on the surface of external insulation occur very frequently and rapidly.

The external insulation system shall be completely flexible. The deformable amount of the material of the outermost layer should be greater than the deformable amount of the inner layer. If the outermost layer has a higher flexibility index than the adjacent inner layer, the temperature deformation rate should also be coordinated with each other.

Inducing deformation and changing the direction of deformation:

The thermal stress generated on the surface of the external insulation should be released in time and thoroughly. It cannot be allowed to cause damage to the external insulation system. It should be combined with soft reinforcement and flexible mortar mixed with fibers to release various deformation stresses in time, and adopt the technical route of allowing deformation, restricting deformation, inducing deformation, and changing the direction of stress transmission.
