Types of FRP
1. Epoxy fiberglass
Epoxy FRP is a commonly used FRP, and its color is light-colored translucent. It has the characteristics of good corrosion resistance, high mechanical strength and strong adhesion, and has certain electrical insulation and alkali resistance. The raw material epoxy resin is a light yellow high viscosity transparent body. There are many types of it.
2. Unsaturated polyester fiberglass
Polyester FRP is also a commonly used FRP. Its color is light yellow translucent body. It has certain corrosion resistance, high mechanical strength and strong adhesion, and has certain low-voltage electrical insulation properties. In addition, polyester fiberglass has no volatile matter escaping during the curing process, can be molded at room temperature, and has the characteristics of easy curing and construction. Its raw material polyester resin is a light yellow transparent body. There are many types of it. Commonly used models are 306, 307, 196, 198, 199, 7541, 3301 and other models with different corrosion resistance and temperature resistance.
3. Phenolic resin fiberglass
Phenolic resin FRP is also a commonly used FRP. Its color is dark brown. It has high corrosion resistance, but its mechanical properties are poor. It is suitable for lining metal, cement, wood, stone tanks and other containers. The raw material phenolic resin is the earliest artificially mixed resin with a history of more than 60 years. The commonly used models are 213, 2130, 101, 102, 103 and so on.
4. Furan resin fiberglass
The color of furan resin FRP is black. Although its mechanical properties are poor, it has outstanding corrosion resistance, acid and alkali resistance, and high heat resistance, which is better than other resins such as phenol compound. Lining on metal, cement, wood, stone tank and other containers. The types of furan resin used as raw materials include furfuryl alcohol, furfural, and furfurone aldehyde.
