The production process of FRP grating mainly includes reciprocating winding method, continuous winding method and centrifugal casting method.
Continuous Filament Winding Process (Continuous Method): This process is made in a continuous process of the mandrel through the feed station of pre-impregnated resin, chopped glass fiber and resin sand mixture. Centrifugal casting process (fixed length): In this process, the cut glass fiber reinforcement and sand are fed into a steel mold fixed on a bearing, and an unsaturated resin with a catalyst is injected into one end of the mold. It is impregnated with reinforcing materials, and under centrifugal force, the resin replaces the air in the fibers and fillers, resulting in a dense non-porous composite material, because the centrifugal force acts on the inner wall of the pipe to form a smooth, resin-rich inner surface layer, making the pipe at higher temperatures Next solidify. The pipe made by this method is also called FRP sand pipe. At present, there are more manufacturers using the reciprocating fiber winding process than the other two production processes in the world. One of the reasons is that the glass tubes manufactured by the reciprocating fiber winding process have a wider range of applications and better applicability.
